At Erik Corona Pet Care, our mission is simple: to support pet parents and veterinary professionals by offering expert, non-veterinary clinical nutrition services that help pets thrive.

We specialize in working with clients who are navigating complex dietary needs—whether managing chronic conditions, food sensitivities, or pursuing home-prepared feeding. Our approach is rooted in science, collaboration, and respect for the essential role of veterinary medicine.

We do not take a holistic or anti-veterinary stance. We never steer clients away from their veterinarians or from prescribed treatments. In fact, we actively reinforce the importance and quality of veterinary-prescribed diets, explaining why they are often essential to a pet’s long-term health and well-being.

We also understand that many pet parents are searching for alternatives to low-quality commercial diets. When this happens, our role is to help them explore safe, appropriate, evidence-based options—without compromising their pet’s medical care. We are here to bridge the gap between owner interest and veterinary guidance, ensuring clients are fully supported when pursuing home-prepared feeding in a responsible way.

Importantly, we stay within our professional limits. We do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. When something falls outside of our realistic scope of care, or when a case is especially complex, we always refer to a Board Certified Veterinary Nutritionist (DACVIM-Nutrition). Our goal is not to replace that level of expertise, but to help fill the gap created by how few are available to the public—offering guidance and support where possible, and knowing when to refer out.
