Heritage is the shared thread that connects our stories, even when our paths look different. It is our roots, our resilience, our culture, and the love passed down through generations. No matter where we are today, heritage reminds us where we come from and why community matters.

Heritage is also responsibility. A responsibility to protect one another, to give back, and to care for those who may be struggling during uncertain times. It is the reason HERENCIA exists.
A Program Built for Community

HERENCIA was created for families who are navigating fear, transition, or instability families who deserve compassion, dignity, and support. In moments of uncertainty, the worry often extends beyond ourselves to those we love most, including our pets. Our fur babies are family, and their safety, nutrition, and well-being should never feel out of reach.

This program is our way of standing beside our community and saying: no están solos you are not alone.
No-Cost Services, When Approved

When services are approved through the HERENCIA program, they are provided at no cost. Our goal is to ensure that pets receive the nutrition, care, and support they need without families having to spend hundreds of dollars just to do what is best for their animals.

The Ari Corona Fund
Helping pets and people when they need it most
The HERENCIA program is supported by the Ari Corona Fund, a fund dedicated to providing no-cost medical and supportive care for pets whose families may not otherwise be able to afford treatment.
​
The fund was created in honor of Ari, who bravely lived with megacolon and congestive heart failure (CHF). Ari’s journey was one of resilience, love, and trust. During his life, a promise was made to him:

That everything possible would be done to help other cats and dogs facing similar conditions especially those whose families love them deeply but may not have the financial means to access care.

That promise lives on through this fund.
​
The Ari Corona Fund exists to bridge the gap between medical need and financial reality, ensuring that pets with chronic or complex conditions receive compassionate support, nutritional guidance, and care without families having to face it alone.
